So yeah, I mentioned that I was working on a Persona 4 fanbook. I'm opening pre-orders for it, to see if I can garner enough orders to make the minimum print order. If it doesn't hit the target by Jan 10th 2010, I'll refund all the money to everyone and give up on trying to print books for now. The pairing is Main Character/Yosuke + shadow!Yosuke. The situation is that, I desperately need to make a certain amount of money asap to pay off some things, and since no one's interested in my usual commission types, I'm trying this. This takes me a much longer time to do than my usual, so they're more expensive.

I feel a little bit of me die inside whenever I put up a commissions post XD I don't get any most of the time, and I feel a little disheartened each time, but I guess that's how life goes. But still, I'm thickening my skin because I really do need the money to buy a study desk and chair. Sitting and kneeling for long periods of time at the coffee table make my knees hurt and it didn't help that last night when crossing the road, I got knocked down by a car.

Amazingly, I was unhurt, safe for a big bruise on my hip and a bigger one on my right leg near my knee. But I was really shocked when it happened (My first experience as an accident victim? =w=; ) The road was fairly empty, but the car that was turning the corner was there when I was standing there waiting for the green man sign (it's white here in SF but I don't know any other way to call it) to come on. It never moved. And when the green man came on, it still didn't move. Then I stepped onto the road to cross the road (duh) and suddenly it inched forward. I walked diagonally, inching away to the side, thinking that maybe the driver's kinda impatient to go. But even then, it kept inching forward a little faster until it hit me in the thigh.

Surprised, I lost my balance and fell with my legs a little under the car, and in my panic I thought I felt like it was going to go on driving so I slammed my hands on the front of the car and pulled myself up and shouted. I was kinda confused but I swear I saw the driver THEN turn her head towards me with a very shocked expression.

Dude, she was looking BEHIND to see if there were oncoming cars and didn't even bother to look ahead to see if there's anyone crossing at a pedestrian crossing. What.

But I was in shock still, and I was chasing after a bus so I kinda backed off, and stared as she drove forward to pull over the curb. But the walk sign was flashing, so I kinda looked back and forth and then ran across the street =__=;;; Everyone whom I told later told me I should have just waited and let her send me to the hospital and make her pay my medical bill. Well, I kinda dread hospitals these days because I don't have any health insurance...and..that was really the first thing on my mind when I checked myself for injuries ...yeah, I swear, this poor man's mentality is really getting to me. ("I won't go to the hospital unless I'm dying!" sorta thing) I kept trying to see if my pants were getting bloodstains on the way home because it hurt but it didn't feel like anything was torn... Just to be sure x__x

Only later on the bus after I told a friend about it via text, I found myself shaking a little from what might have happened if I didn't get up immediately after I fell OTL Slow reaction...

There you go. My first and hopefully last car accident =w=b I wasn't even breaking any rules. On the way back, I'd have really gotten knocked down again if I wasn't limping across another street. That car just swerved round the corner at full speed. The green man was on! I was entitled to walk, dammit. Luckily I stopped right in the middle of the street while it zoomed right past me =__=

Guys, if you drive, please spare a little thought for people crossing pedestrian crossings at night Even if the roads are empty, there's a possibility that there's someone who wants to cross the street you know.

Not quite a report, but I'll just do a quick summary.
As my first US con, I really really reaaaaally had a great time I attribute that to awesome roomates and awesome table neighbours

I roomed with and and we had alot of fun drawing commissions together. (Although I was luckier than them both, didn't have much to do at all)

People I met at the con:
who so kindly shared her table with me, who was at the table next door, , , , who were all in the same block, , karu, , (but never introduced myself -fail-) and alot of other people whom I have no idea if they have DAs or not o.o;;;

I didn't expect it to be so much fun, so even though I said that it'd be my first and last con, I'm gonna try my best to go to next year's Fanime as well *crosses fingers*

If you were a girl who commissioned me an original character who likes to bakes on Friday, pleaaaaaaase send me a note or an email? I tried to call the number you gave me all throughout the weekend, but it was the wrong number TAT;;; I'd like to send it to you since it's done and you paid and all.

I know I haven't updated my gallery regularly at all, but here's a quick shout-out. The internet router in my room has kinda died, so we're stuck with using the cables (in which I have no direct access to) I'll be checking in online regularly, just that I have to be quick since I'm borrowing my roomate's internet cable.

So, I won't be reading journals or checking deviations, if there are things that are in need of immediate attention, please send me an email or a note. Things have been going to hell since my cash got stolen few weeks back, and talking about it online isn't helping. I just need some time off the Internet I guess, and this seems the perfect opportunity to do so.
